The apocalypse is upon us!
The Bestiarium
Dance Macabre - Emperor, your sword won't help you out, and your
sceptre and crown are worthless here. It has taken you by the hand for you
must come to its macabre dance… The dance of death which will take you
all.
1
Bicorpus - Once separated in life by coin amounts, now grounded
together in the doomed eternity. After the Earthquake of the First Day,
many were those who found themselves attached to each other in a slow
dance of permanency…
2
Leper Querubs - Even the smallest of the creatures could not escape the
effect of the open skies. Such poor creatures, once flying in the celestial
dome, now infamously diseased and trying to escape their fates as best as
they can.
3
Gut Eaters - There were some monstrous creatures devouring all the
insides of people and making them empty as dried flesh bags. Apparently,
the more it eats, the bigger will be their bodies and their hunger…
4
Non-Baptized Corpses – Rising again were those revenants coming from
shallow graves outside consecrated grounds. Many believed that ripping
their heads off before the burial would be a way to keep them there
forever…
5
Fallen Angels - Those creatures were always among us. They were invisible
to human eyes, but after the curtain of the skies opened and everything
became as it is, they were seen crawling as an example of the worst there is
in existence...
6
Witches - The highly persecuted covens of witches were finally free to
break through the skies far away from the flames, for there certainly was
much to be enjoyed. All the rituals and sacrifices were now to be
consummated.
7
Marigolds – There are no husbands in a decayed land for those who have
an eternal affair to attend to in the skies. Brides of the Lord were seen
coming back from shallow graves to spread its love fruits in sacred soils.
8
Night Imps - No one is free from the horrors of the wicked Earth, even
during their sleeping nights secured in their rich chambers. Kings and
queens used to consider themselves above any earthly evil… what a failed
promise to believe in.
9
Desecrator Of Souls - Capable of fiercely violating a person's soul by one
quick sight, the bodies of lovers that have become bonded together plague
the earth in an eternal and obscene act of excitement.
10
Revenant Children - The human losses by the Great Plague were
uncountable. Tragically enough, many kids' corpses that were not burnt
due to extremely high numbers were seen wandering around… and
feeding for themselves…
11
False Martyrs -Leaders of prominent religious orders, the great Fathers
arose from old monasteries’ dust to rejoin their brothers on Earth.
Precociously opening the curtains on Judgment Day, they will represent a
dark light to be followed.
12
Fortune Tellers - For those who tried seeking ways to foresee people´s
lives there was a specific penitence to be suffered. Returning with their
head rotated backwards seems a good way to keep them always looking
back, away from the future…
13
Hellions - Little imps were among the first creatures to be found inside
palaces, houses, shacks in the fields and even monastery buildings, evilly
playing with what they could find. Some of them ended up making their
own toys.
14
Cambrions - Those are the disastrous cubs from the sexual touch between
disguised demons and human beings. One is at risk of being touched by
one of them… to face the eternal doom of darkness.
15
Decayed Friars - Taken by an act of desperation, many took their own
lives when ‘the horrors’, as they are commonly known, appeared for the
first time, leading by a hope that they wouldn't have to be victims of
fate…
16
Vanitas - Deceased loved ones holding huge books of accounts were
present in many places to remind people of their life debts. If there is no
peace in life, it's safe to assume that even less should be found in death…
17
Twisted Cardinals - Princes of the Church couldn’t expect anything
different from what they could see for their own. Even trying to escape,
many have fallen, and many more have come back to help populate the
new grounds covered in dust.
18
Ghosts - Such spirits were said to be appearing before dying people and
mocking what they believed was a good life spent. Apparently, learning
how to die well didn’t represent any assurance of an eternity in the
heavens.

21
Blemmyae - Legends of headless walking torsos, with eyes on their chests,

They steal human male babies and try to nurse them as if they were their
mothers. The babies are never the same again...

biten. Almost as an automatic impulse, they come after their still alive
loved ones to share their blood, taking advantage of their spiritual
connection.
24
Cynocephalus - Very fast creatures that were seen coming from southeast
regions, running and beheading the helpless. They were mostly seen in
large groups, forming an army of the damned.
25
Happyas - Butcherous half woman half bird creatures that feed mostly from
corpses. They are extremely dangerous and attack irrationaly. They are
being seen everywhere now…
26
Satyrs - Frequently seen near dense woods, those creatures practically
‘steal away’ any form of adult human life to abuse them, taking them
deep into the forests and damning their souls through lustful sins.
27
Sea Monks - Strange figures resembling monks and clerics are sometimes
seen near waters and ports. In such dreadful times, unholy processions
are dragged into the waters following them.
28
Mermaids - Yet another kind of female creature that attracts men sexually
for their own ends. They are usually seen near water places, hiding
among corals and stones.
29
Manticores - A kind of lion with a beautiful woman's head, that loves
eating living human flesh. They were seen attracting people through a
sweet whistle impossible to resist.
30
Pygmies - Crazy little warriors that were seen coming by the hundreds
from the places where the sun rises, having two heads in a single body.
One can easily know when someone is nearby because the heads seem to
constantly fight each other.
31
Mandragora - A Female half-plant creature that attracts drunken men to
pollinate them through sexual relations, and a single new wicked fruit
will emerge from its only flower. Those men are found dead just a few
hours after being together.
32
Sirins - Another breed of half woman half bird monstrous creature. They
were seen mistically attracting unwary ones into their warm embraces,
taking them anywhere no one has ever returned from to make accounts.
33
Arimaspi - These one-eyed monsters were believed to live around Etna, in
the far Sicily. They walk around killing, collecting corpses and using
them as the most accursed symbols one could imagine…
34
Gog and Magog - They are Berengar’s bully older brothers. They were
particularly mean in life, and are even more so now. After a huge
earthquake on the First Day, they showed up in a single body. Berengar has
barely escaped them...
35
Melusine - There was a legend about Melusine, someone who had once
been human, told to warn recently joined couples. No one could ever
imagine she was real… and actually dangerous.

lines.

happen?

55
SISTER MARY - An stigmatic dominican nun. Besides the Cardinal, she was
the only one already inside the Cathedral when the monsters came. She is
seen as a living Saint by many. By others, she would already have been
burned down.
56
DANTE - He is being guided by his beloved Beatrice, who, blessed be the
Saints, didn´t live to see the world´s sickness, and inhabits the pages of
his Paradiso, which he keeps close enough.
57
QUEEN ISABELLA I - After his King and husband was found dead, she got in
a deep grief. As an act of madness, as some would say, she commanded
that his head should be embalmed, so as to always be able to keep it close to
her heart.
58
SAMMARRA YEFRAYIN - A condemned heretic. He was being conducted to be
burned by brother Isidorus and his sect. Curiously, he was saved by one
creature that killed most of his captors. God bless the Great Cross.
59
BROTHER ISIDORUS - Leader of the “Brotherhood of Death”, a group
responsible for conducting heretics to bonfires. Together with his
prisoner, he saved himself from imminent death.
60
JOAN - The voices in her head were her protection, telling her exactly
which way to go until she found out the Cathedral and saved herself
inside of it.
61
JACOB THE GRAVEDIGGER - He always prefered befriending rats rather than
people, being already used to being kicked and spat on by everyone. He
worked next to the Cathedral, which made it an easy way for him to get
62
inside.
63
THE EXECUTIONER AND HIS PREGNANT WIFE - He was the local hangman, and
above everything, he will protect his upcoming child, behind his giant
shape, from any threat it could get, monstrous or even human alike...
64
CARDINAL BORGIA - He will go out, but not before taking every sacred relic
and richness he can carry, thinking that his greed will be his salvation.
He displays the uncorrupted head of Saint Catherine of Sienna, the most
65
important relic of his church.
66
NAMELESS ARMOUR - Nobody knows anything about him, not even his face.
He just appeared wearing this strange, unfinished jousting armour that he
claimed to have found in the basement of a dead blacksmith.
67
BERENGAR - He is a poor peasant. Nothing more can be said about him, as
no one would be interested. He will make himself into an idol, a human
68
Iconostasis. Amen
