COMPANY HISTORY
In 2012, the founder of MATSHIPA CONSTRUCTION AND
PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd identified an opportunity to introduce a
reliable construction service oriented company. Our existence
today and in the future depends on having a team of
professionals committed to provide diverse construction and
structural engineering services on surface and underground
mining while prioritizing safety and our project timeline as per
our client’s preferred scope.

Penuel founded the company in 2012, as a foundation of
redefining the standards of excellence and innovation on
mining construction services. Armed with many years of
experience in driving Matshipa Construction and Projects in
becoming a top notch mining construction services. Through his
entrepreneurial journey he successfully and continually to
deliver prestigious services earning him and the company a
reputation for excellence and reliability.
Beyond his professional achievements, Penuel is committed to
ethical business practices and prioritizes the safety and
well-being of his team. He has successfully cultivated a work
environment built on trust and collaboration, empowering his
executive team to strive for excellence.
A qualified civil Engineer with extensive knowledge in civil
construction field and experience as a trainee site supervisor at
Shuma Africa Consulting Firm.
He graduated from the Mangosuthu University of Technology.
Michael’s achievements includes analytical mindset on projects
scopes to assess complex construction challenges and devise
innovative solutions, mergers and acquisitions as well project
supervision. He believes his strengths are primarily his leadership
skills, strategy development and execution, business management,
negotiations and change management.

WALTER KGOPANE
(Marketing Partner)
Walter have a strong understanding of mining sector, with a
dynamic marketing strategy. His analytic and business acumen
skill is a depth for him in leveraging extensive network and
connections to drive growth and succession of Matshipa
construction and projects. His expertise excludes to identify,
evaluate, capitalize and and implement marketing plans that
align with our business objectives and position.
He have a proven track record of delivering outstanding service
while forging a strong partnership and collaboration with key
stakeholders.
MARKOOS CHOMA
(A qualified Fitter)
Markoos previously worked with multiple engineering service
oriented companybefore joining Matshipa Construction &
Projects. He have extensive experience in engineering field. He
is responsible for inspecting and maintaining mechanical
equipment, constructing conveyer belts. Markoos had been in
the mining industry since 2013, he had previously worked with
companies like tubatse Engineering, Gogola Engineering, BBT
Mining & Project, Kruger Constrction, Bagareng, Tshentshebe
Trading Boyseendal Mine, Ndolo Engineering & Electrical and
Mash Civil & Engineering
A qualified civil construction expert, with a track-record of
facilitating successful project completion. He had been in mining
industry since 1998, assuming responsibility for diverse mining
projects, overseeing multiple aspects of underground civil works by
achieving desired outcomes. Hennie is also a qualified
boiler-maker and welder, he joined Matshipa Construction and
Projects as construction project manager, bringing his 26 vast
experience of civil construction in underground. He is in charge of
managing all our operations within eastern limb.
IGNITIUS MOILA
(Business Administrator)
A member of the executive committee with strong knowledge in
Operations management this includes, project management,
business risk management, Financial management, Procurement
process and general management,Quality assurance and quality
control, lean six sigma methodology and business administration.
He has 6 years of experience and knowledge in mining industry
rooting from working with various companies that specializes in
Civil construction , and Logistic Supply.
