Also, Netmax/NGI can reduce the DT and CQT workload, increase the network optimization efficiency greatly and reduce the manpower cost. At the same time, Netmax/NGI can hold the valuable regions and customers in the network, achieve the fine optimization and planning for the network and provide quality network service experience for the users. Netmax/NGI Main Functions ZTE Netmax/NGI provides variety of optimization features to help the engineers build a fine network. The following table shows Netmax/NGI’s main functions and their description. Table 1- 1 Netmax/NGI Main Functions Function Description Netmax/NGI can complete the network coverage quality evaluation quickly without drive test. It can make network coverage issue analysis, find out the coverage isssues quickly based on the defined Network Coverage analysis algorithm. Evaluation & Optimization It can make pilot pollution analysis, display pilot pollution areas, pilot pollution grids and pilot pollution points in the GIS. It can make coverage comparison between different operator ‘s LTE networks. Netmax/NGI supports chart statistical analysis and GIS analysis for the performance data, help the engineer to Network Performance Evaluation & Optimization locate the performance problems quickly and easily. It supports TopN performance analysis. By the TopN association analysis function, the engineer can find out the main reason for the performance problems and output the precise resolution for it. 8 ZTE RAN Network Optimization Tool’s Technical Proposal for MTN Summer 2.0_Côte d’Ivoire v1.0 Function Description Netmax/NGI supports VIP user monitor. It implements quasi-real time monitoring and special analysis for special users. Netmax/NGI supports complaint user analysis. By User Analysis querying the call logs of the complaint users, it represents the scenarios of the abnormal events and displays the trace of the user calls on the GIS map. Netmax/NGI can output the causes for 4G users which are not accessing the 4G network Netmax/NGI supports VoLTE chart statistics analysis Service Analysis and GIS presentation. Netmax/NGI supports virtual drive test analysis. Netmax/NGI supports parameters check and optimization, such as consistency check of engineering parameters and radio parameters, neighbor cells validity Daily O&M Optimization check and optimization, PSCs/Frequencies validity check and optimization, radio parameters check, etc. Netmax/NGI supports troubleshooting, such as antenna check, problem area discovery, etc. Netmax/NGI supports polygon KPI monitor. Netmax/NGI supports UE analysis. It supports UE statistics, UE KPI analysis and UE GIS presentation. Netmax/NGI supports multi-dimensional data analysis. Table 1- 3 Main Software Configuration Software Configuration Operation System CGSL V5.0 Database Green Plum 2 NDS Solution 2.1 Overview NDS is a data collection tool for the radio network. It collects MR (Measurement Report)/CDT (Call Detail Trace)/FST (Full Signaling Trace)/MDT (Minimum Driver Test) data from BSC/RNC/eNodeB/gNodeB and pre-processes the data for the analysis tools, such as ZTE Netmax/NGI, CSON or the 3rd party analysis tools. EMS-Element Management System EMS implements data acquisition task setting, controls BSC/RNC/eNodeB/gNodeB reporting data according to cell, data type and time granularity. 2. BSC/RNC/eNodeB/gNodeB The BSC/RNC/eNodeB/gNodeB implements data acquisition and reporting, stores the data on SBCJ/UMP board or eNodeB/gNodeB. 3. NDS-Network Data Server NDS acquires MR/CDT/FST/MDT data files for summarization purpose from SBCJ/UMP board or eNodeB/gNodeB periodically according to the configured acquisition strategy. Analysis Server The analysis server acquires data files from NDS in the way of SFTP/FTP periodically, analyzes the data files and saves the sorted data into the database. There are three kinds of analysis servers: ZTE Netmax/NGI server, ZTE CSON server or the 3rd party analysis server. 2.2 Highlights Generally, NDS has the following benefits: All-users-involving, massive data collected automatically All users are involved and all dimensions are assessed. Supports “24x7 hours” uninterrupted collection of the users’ data. For each event in the network, the system can also collect its MR, CDT, FST and MDT data. Has strict data security mechanism, protects users’ privacy strictly Supports personal info protection. Personal information including IMSI, IMEI, and ISDN will be hashed by HMAC-SHA256. Supports file transfer with encryption. Data is encrypted before transferring and is transferred by SFTP. Supports strict OS user privilege control, protects the security of OS and the files. 12 ZTE RAN Network Optimization Tool’s Technical Proposal for MTN Summer 2.0_Côte d’Ivoire v1.0 2.3 Main Feature 2.4 Data Collection 2.4.1 MR Raw Data Collection NDS collects the MR (Measurement Report) raw data in ZTE radio network. This data is mainly used for coverage analysis and antenna check. 2.4.2 CDT Raw Data Collection NDS collects the CDT (Call Detail Trace) raw data in ZTE radio network. This data is mainly used for events analysis, user analysis, UE analysis and antenna check. 2.5 Data Pre-processing 2.5.1 Data Pre-processing for Netmax/NGI NDS collects the MR/CDT/MDT raw data. Then it pre-processes the raw data, changes the raw data into the files which can be imported into Netmax/NGI database directly. 2.6 NDS Configuration & Deployment 2.6.1 Hardware Configuration The following hardware is recommended to deploy NDS.
