Objectives and purpose:
 Learn about the challenges countries face when meeting the Petroleum
Industry
 Learn about principles for Good Governance
 Learn about petroleum Policy and Legislation
 Learn about the importance of good Impact Assessment
 Learn more about Resource Management in all phases of the Petroleum
Value Chain:
o Pre-licensing process
o Licensing and exploration phase
o Development phase
o Production phase
o Decommissioning phase
 Learn about the importance of managing National Petroleum Data
 Learn about Competence and Capacity building for the Petroleum Sector
 Learn about good Management Principles
Who should participate?
Participants come from ministries/directorates/agencies that are responsible for
Resource Management. Participants should also come from other areas of
Government, such as Environment, Finance, Legal, Statistics, Maritime Authorities
and others. The course is aiming at giving a comprehensive introduction to the
challenges that countries will meet where exploration and production of petroleum
take place. The course is a good competence fundament for employees working
in/with the petroleum sector in any given country.
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) (formerly NPD) will present in the
programme:
The presenters have more than 30 years of experience from the petroleum industry
from public and private sector:

The programme is organized as 8 lessons of up to 2 hours.
There are 2 lessons every day over 4 days with half an hour break between the
lessons.
The webinars will start at 10:00 Central European Time (CET)
The programme will be run live on “Microsoft Teams”.
