CONTENT STANDARDS: The learner demonstrates understanding of assessing the
client’s/patron’s needs, performing actual facial cleansing, treatment of the face and post treatment
activity.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner independently practices assessing the
client’s/patron’s needs while performing actual facial cleansing, treatment of the face and post
treatment activity.
I.
OBJECTIVES
1. Identify and determine the client’s/patron’s skin types
2. Show and discuss the client’s/patron’s skin types
3. Appreciate the importance of knowing the patron’s skin types and skin care.

The students will listen to the tune and solve the
REBUS Puzzle.
Students will listen to the tune and solve
the puzzle by writing the name of the song
on the paper.

Activity Reminder:
Everybody is expected to listen and follow the
directions and participate actively. Maintain order
and respect inside the classroom. Enjoy the activity
and learning.
PASS THAT BALL CHALLENGE!
Directions:
The teacher will pass the ball to the students while
the music is playing until it stops. The student who is
holding the ball when the music stop will pick the
object inside the pre-filled lunch bag and paste the
object on the board according to the label. When all
the objects are pasted on the board ask the students
the following: (Indicator 4 and 5)

The students will identify the different
textures according to the objects they touch
inside the lunch bags and post it on right
quadrant of the construction paper.
They will discuss what they did to find the
objects.
Objects:
‘Soft (cotton),’ ‘Rough (mitten scrub
glove),’ ‘Smooth (liquid foundation
bottle),’ and ‘Bumpy (toy cover)’

LESSON PROPER:
1. ACTIVITY
GROUP ACTIVITY (Divide the class into 5 groups)
(Each group will be given a task card)
Activity Reminder:
Everybody is expected to listen and follow the
directions and participate actively. Maintain order
and respect inside the classroom. Enjoy the activity
and learning.
Students will go to their respective groups
and cooperatively work on the given task.
Each Group will perform the task given.
Group I: Normal ( Solve the PUZZLE Activity)
Directions: Students will solve the puzzle and guess
the type of skin and its definition among the strips.
(Indicator 3)
Grp. I. Solve the puzzle and label it as
Normal Skin and define normal skin as
smooth, no oil, not dry, skin pores are
normal and no blemishes.
Group II: Oily (Face that TISSUE Activity)
Directions: Students will put the facial tissue on the
face and observe if the tissue sticks on their face and
leave a blot mark. Then they will describe what they
have observed based on the skin type chart.
Grp. II.
The facial tissue will show oil blot marks
if one of the student has oily face. Then
Oily face means shiny and enlarged pores
when seen through magnifying glass and
with pimples.
Group III: Combination (oily and dry)
Directions: Students will solve the RIDDLE.
Group III: Student will solve the riddle.
After solving the riddle they will make a short skit of
showing a combination skin. (Indicator 2)Literacy
Group IV: Dry

DEHYDRATED SKIN
- It is an itchy, flaky, cracked and papery skin. This
happens if the skin does not retain its natural moisture.
DRY SKIN
- Facial skin feels tight after washing. Requires
moisturizers more often during cold weather. Skin surface
is rough and poreless. Small lines can be found around the
mouth and the eye area.
Group V: Sensitive
Directions: Student will show a TV commercial Group V: TV commercial
showing sensitive skin and how to care for it.
*For Grp IV and Grp V Only Directions
(Activity 1: Skin Type Identification)
Materials: Mirror, cotton pads, magnifying glasses,
skin type classification chart
Instructions:
1. Provide each student with a mirror, cotton pads,
and a magnifying glass.
2. Instruct students to observe their skin closely
using the magnifying glass and cotton pads to
remove any makeup or dirt.
3. Guide students in identifying their skin type based
on the skin type classification chart.
4. Discuss the characteristics and specific needs of
each skin type.
The teacher will ask the group:
*Count the group skin type how many are NORMAL, Student will count their group member skin
