Both the sealing elastometers and metals must be able to meet low temperature requeriments 8) Threaded fittings must be used only for instrument connections (pressure and temperature) in non vibrating service and must be seal welded. Instruments connections shall be screwed beyond the first block valve off of process piping 9) All flanges and flanged ends shall have serrated spiral finish facings 125 to 250 AARH max. 10) All gaskets, seals, seats and packing materials shall not contains any asbestos related materials 11) Socket weld piping is required in this service below 2". Threaded piping is only permitted where socket weld devices are not available. Where threaded piping is required (limited to 11/2" NPT maximum), the following shall apply a) Pipe wall thickness shall be 80s minimum b) Fitting ratings shall match those specified for socket weld fittings 12) All valves will be certified for -250°F service 13) Deleted 14) Use gate valves for operating temperature above 250°F 15) ASME B16.5 pipe flanges and flange fittings, shall be used to derate maximum allowable working pressure for temperatures from 100°F to 650°F. 16) Used for vents and drains only.
