which share a word in common. Your
goal is to figure out the common
word. But don’t worry, jumbled
letters will be provided as hints for
you to solve the puzzle with ease.
Technically, it can be played solo
using your Android phones, but for
today, we will play it by group. The
first group to give the correct answer
will get the corresponding points. Are
you ready?
Not all of us Ma’am are familiar.
Students will be divided into
groups. Each group will form a
word based on the 4 pictures using

What comes into your mind when
you hear the word parallel? In Parallel lines are two lines that do
Mathematics, what are parallel lines? not intersect.
Correct! In Mathematics, parallel
lines are lines that do not meet each
other no matter how long we extend
them. In parallel lines, the distance of
the lines must be equal. However,
striking a balance does not only apply
with geometry, it is also applied in the
use of the language especially in
using the same pattern of words in a
sentence.
The dictionary defines parallel as a
way in which things are similar like a
shared quality or characteristic. Our
key words are similar and equal.
The question is, how do we know that
sentences have parallel structures?
To know that, let us read its
definition.

Sentence 2 is better.
Let us analyze the sentences.
1. In school, I like Science, History, and
how to make art. (Non Parallel)
In this sentence, the noun words
Science, and History are combined

2. In school, I like Science, History, and
Art. (Parallel)
In this sentence, the words Science,

same grammatical format. They are
now referring to subjects/disciplines.
