Boardroom Simulation Final Round Rules and Guidelines Boardroom simulation offers a dynamic environment where participants engage in realistic scenarios mirroring corporate decision-making processes. Participants are immersed in simulated boardroom scenarios, where they must navigate complex challenges, make critical decisions, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Participants assume diverse roles, such as CEO, CFO, independent directors, and key stakeholders, each contributing unique perspectives to discussions. Date, Time, and Place of the Event: Final round: 25th Feb 2024, 10 AM, Madai (Auditorium) Final Round: - (On stage in front of esteemed Panel of Yukti business conclave) • • • • • • • • • • Cases and problem statement will be allocated to the qualified teams 2 days before the event. Every team (6 members) will need to fill out a form specifying the roles of each team member within their respective group. Ensure that the team includes the appropriate roles of Chairman, CEO, Independent Directors (minimum 2) with relevant backgrounds and necessary CXO positions. Ensure that there is minimum of one female team member in the group. During the event, every team will be allotted a time frame of 15 minutes for a boardroom discussion. A background timer will alert teams about their remaining time. It is essential that the team presents its conclusions clearly and concisely within the allotted time. Teams should expect judges to challenge them with questions and additional crisis. Datasheets and supporting files can be taken to the discussion. Team members have the flexibility to choose between business formals or classroom formals based on their roles and preferences. Judges and Judging Criteria: The evaluation for the final round will be carried out by the esteemed Panel of Yukti -The Business Conclave. Teams will be evaluated on the following criteria. Each of these criteria is significant to boardroom dynamics, contributing to the teams’ evaluation and ability to simulate boardroom scenarios successfully. 1. Team Dynamics: Teams will be evaluated based on their collaborative and coordination capabilities. Teams must show clarity in communication and engagement and enable a milieu for feedback and information discourse. 2. Subject Knowledge: Teams will be assessed on their understanding of the problem, key concepts, industry trends and the organizational structure/culture. Relevant facts and information must back up all arguments put forth by the teams. 3. Coherence of arguments: The assessment will focus on the clarity of thought, structuring, and logical presentation of arguments. The clarity and flow of ideas should culminate in a decision reflective of the assigned organization’s goals and assigned role’s responsibilities. 4. Innovative Thinking: The assessment will assess the ability to think creatively and the diversity of thought to identify opportunities and tackle challenges. How teams navigate complex situationswill be a key parameter of evaluation. 5. Conflict Resolution: Teams will be assessed on the nature and management of disagreements, accommodation of differing viewpoints and dialogue as they navigate the simulation. Interpersonal skills and stewardship in conflicts will make all the difference. 6. Boardroom Etiquette: Teams’ decorum, demeanor, communication skills, ethics and demonstration of professionalism will fall under the purview of evaluation
