4. What is meant by bridge?

5. What is the difference between switch and bridge?

6. What is packet?
Packets is pieces of data transmitted over a network.
7. What is circuit switching and packet switching?
Packet-switched networks move data in separate, small blocks - packets - based on the destination
address in each packet.
Circuit-switched networks require dedicated point-to-point connections during calls.
8. Define Gateway.
Network Hardware that Connects two dissimilar networks.
9. What are the three criteria necessary for an effective and efficient network?
Performance, reliability, and security.
