The purpose of a pre-procurement conference is to confirm the contract's description and scope, as well as the approved budget and duration, and to ensure that the project is in line with the project and included in the approved annual procurement plan (APP). Before a contract is awarded, it is important to hold a preprocurement conference to review, modify, and agree on the criteria for the eligibility screening, evaluation, and post-qualification, as well as to adopt a procurement schedule and timeframes to guarantee that the specifications are meeting the bare minimum necessary while also adhering to the agreed-upon criteria and standards.
