13 February 2024 Dear Student WELCOME TO YOUR DAMELIN NATED MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME (FULL TIME) Congratulations on your learning achievements to date. We would like to welcome you to our institution and outline a few very important points. Your learning journey is important to us, and we are committed to providing you with the best learning experience possible in this new and exciting phase of your education. Blended and Online Learning is a global trend as students develop attributes and competencies while they build knowledge in their studies. The approach to teaching and learning at Damelin is a blended one which consists of a blend of virtual classes with your lecturers and online learning activities in myClass, the online learning management system. This means that there are synchronous virtual classes timetabled with your lecturers in MS Teams, and online learning resources and activities that will enhance your learning experience in myClass. These online resources include study guides, pre-recorded classes and videos, discussion forums, engaging digital content, digital library resources, online assessments, and access to your MS Office apps. Access to these online resources, assessment timetables and other learning activities is via your Student Portal. To study through a blended and online mode of delivery, every student needs to plan their time to include attendance at the timetabled virtual lectures as well as time for online activities and engagement in myClass in each module each week. It is the blend of both these learning opportunities together with your own self-study that makes for a great learning experience. Your learning journey is supported in many ways and this communication serves to outline some of those details for you.
