My Conducive Learning Environment. Safe and comfortable, organized and motivating, and a good room for continuous and consistent growth—are the main targets I want to achieve in building a conducive environment. To achieve that, I must first consider the learners’ needs, their interests and competence to allow it to what I put into my learning setting. This includes board displays, academic spaces such as reading corner and freedom wall, and arrangement of learning materials and tools such as television, students’ chairs and cleaning equipment. Given that, I will also set class rules and routines for better teaching and learning deliveries. One routine I want to apply was sharing of quotes or messages before the beginning of the class. Aside from that, I will encourage open communication wherein I will be emphasizing the acceptance of mistakes; that it is okay to make mistakes as learning happens there. This will encourage them to be completely comfortable which will allow them to show their potential that I can use to shape my teaching strategies and approaches. It will also help both me and my learners to build a good foundation of connection that will give me the opportunity to not only get to know them but also make ways on how I can help them not only on the academic level but also on their well-being; emotionally and mentally.
