HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY WORKPLACE

Introduction:
The term safety means the state of being safe; around you, your environment and also in your work
place and our Concern Larsen & Toubro taking the initiatives for Safety and commitment to
employees is always encouraging among staffs and in this essay im going to share my thoughts on
how can we improve my work place.
For Improving workplace safety, we can adhere to the below steps:
 Safety Training
 Reward safety
 Keep the workplace clean
 Report unsafe condition
 Encourage breaks
 Innovative ideas
 Safety Training:
Comprehensive and thorough training is necessary for all employees, especially if there is a risk for
potential injury associated with a job. Provide a written instructions in SOP, Posters, Slogans to follow.
 Reward Safety:
Little encouragement costs nothing- Reward the employees for safe behaviour and new initiatives.
Positive reinforcement draws attention to safe workplace and practices.
 Keep the work place clean:
In this place if any employee who follow quality’s 5S procedure safety will have positive impact on
your job satisfaction and keep you and your co-workers free from danger.
 Report unsafe condition:
All team members are responsible for safety on each other not only safety supervisor- It is to be
entertained provide true feedback of unsafe acts and that can make awareness among us. So that in
future it cannot be repeated.
 Encourage breaks:
For improving the ergonomics and employee’s health taking 5-10 minutes break to be encouraged.
 Innovative ideas:
As a theme of this year Innovative ideas can turn the table around. Many innovative ideas that have
changed the world. Now a days we have everything happening around the world is in our hands great
example is Mobile phones, which is arises from a innovative ideas by a person from one of us. People
with innovative ideas are always the successors.
Conclusion:
On following of above all we can improve safety around us and not only the above, things like regular
safety meetings, investigating accidents, involving employees on routine drills, Post safety signs also
can be one of source to improve safety. Our Ultimate vision to avoid incidents before it happens.
