process when it comes to movie

Apart from larger-than-life movies, relatability is also a driving factor when it comes to the choice
of movies.
Few Telugu viewers depict a high sense of sensitivity and strong attachment to movies. Any
portrayal of insensitivity in a film might result in the audience disliking the title. For instance, if a
hero is depicted being beaten, it could potentially cause some Telugu viewers to have a negative
reaction to that scene or the movie as a whole.

Decision making process







Implausible climax scenes, powerful storylines, popular star cast, good online reviews are some
of the factors that influence movie selection decisions for the audience. Lasting impact on the
mind (emotionally) helps the audience in connecting with the movie/character better. Some
movies have a drastic influence on the life choices of the viewers as well.
Online reviews and friend circles drive the WOM for movies.
Tamanna, Junior NTR, Rajinikanth, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Vijay Sethupathi, Surya are some of
the actors that were popular among the respondents. Previous hits of an actor or a director also
influence the decision-making process of the audience.
Locations and screenplay also enhance the movie watching experience.
In the Baby movie hero had no major part to play and this was called out during the discussion.
Music is also a key factor in the selection of movies.
The respondents also perceived certain movies as commercial movies and mentioned that
commercial movies do not carry a key message. They are watched solely for entertainment
purposes.
