activities
not sophisticated as in the high culture making them more appealing to the masses
Originally, the term popular culture was linked to the lower classes, although now
popular culture includes the mass society
spread of popular culture is mainly due to mass media
What is Folk Culture?
describes cultural traditions that are done at a local level and which are
derived from longstanding cultural practices
is separated from popular and high culture by its traditional and localized
