ORIENTATION

DOLE Labor Advisories No. 08 s. of 2016 (Protection for
Senior High School Students on K to 12 Work Immersion Program)
 Work
immersion shall be allowed only between 8:00 to
5:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
 Students
below 15 yrs. old and with permission from their
parent or guardian, shall not be longer than four 4hours in
any given day.
 Students
regardless of age shall not be allowed for work
immersion in industries considered as HAZARDOUS (DOLE
Department Order No. 149, s. 2016.

their technical knowledge and skills.

their skills in communication and human
relations.
 Develop
good work habits, attitudes, appreciation
and respect for work.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES
The Company shall:
11. Issue a Certificate of Completion to the student trainees upon satisfactory
compliance with all requirements of the program.

OWNERSHIP OF OUTPUT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Intellectual properties develop by the students as part of his or her regular Work Immersion duties in the
COMPANY and their corresponding copyrights and/or patents shall belong to the COMPANY.
Intellectual properties develop by the students outside of his or her regular Work Immersion duties in the
COMPANY and their corresponding copyrights and/or patents shall belong to the student, even if the student used
the time, facilities, materials of the COMPANY, unless otherwise stipulated in a separate agreement between the
student and his or her parents or guardian and the COMPANY.
•OTHER PROVISIONS
It is expressly understood by the PARTIES that the Company is not obliged to pay wage or salary
since there is no employer-employee relationship that exists: However , the Company is not precluded
from providing the student with any monetary or financial assistance in the form of transportation fee,
food allowance, etc

Parents’ consent must be signed by any of the parent or legal
guardian of the student.
Wearing of complete school uniform and school ID is a must,
except if the company, like those engaged in Automotive and
Hospitality Industry, requires other uniform as per nature of work.
Observing the minimum health standard such us wearing of
facemask, frequently handwashing and observing physical distancing
is highly encouraged.
Strict compliance to the time policy of 8:00-12:00am and 1:005:00pm. Tardiness will not be tolerated and it will be subject to
disciplinary action as prescribed by the school and company.
Working in Hospitality Industry will have a separate
break as prescribe by the nature of work.
Completion of 10days attendance or 80hrs of work
immersion is a must.
Students will be officially excused in their classes
only during the scheduled immersion date.
Transportation and food allowances are personal
expenses.
Any agenda after the working hours and outside the
work place, the company and the school is no longer
liable.
Note: (The school provide the insurance for all immersion students.)
Transportation, food and other allowances of the students will be
their personal expenses.
In case of a violation or pressing concern, the immediate supervisor from
the partner company should notify the work immersion teacher
immediately.
Only the immersion teacher, immersion focal person or the school
principal is allowed to transact, follow-up or check the students in the
immersion venues and/or any authorized representatives from DepEd.
Parents who wish to visit their child in the immersion venue should
notify the immersion teacher first and should come with the
immersion teacher in the time where work is not compromise.
Submission of the work immersion portfolio is a must.

Grade
Immersion grade will be earned from combined industry
partner and immersion teacher’s grades. The 80%
(performance 60%, attendance 10%, and work ethics 10%)
will be given by the industry partner, while the 20%
(portfolio and observations) will be from the immersion
teacher, totaling to 100%.
