Overview
› This slide pack contains a summary of results of Channel Element
Efficiency for EUL feature performed over 5 sites in Nabeul area.
› The feature reduces the static Uplink (UL) Channel Element (CE) cost
for Enhanced Uplink (EUL) 2ms TTI users from two CEs to one CE.
› With the feature activated :
Reduced UL CE cost for EUL 2ms TTI users.
Twice as many EUL 2ms TTI users can be set up.
EUL 2ms TTI users can now have the same static cost as EUL10ms
TTI users.
The number of EUL 2ms TTI users can be higher, which offers higher
data rates and better latency than EUL 10ms TTI.

Technical Details
› Channel Element Efficiency for EUL(FAJ 121 3214) has been activated over 5
sites situated in Nabeul region:
› The activation has been done on 30th oct 2018.
› This feature requires the feature Channel Element capacity for EUL
Smartphones (FAJ 121 1883) to be active.
› RBS restart is required after feature implementation in order to be effective.
› The implementation of this feature affects no parameters.

Avg static UL CE cost for EUL has as expected reduced which will
increase the headroom for all UL services.

NB EUL 2ms request denied :
Number of EUL2ms requests denied since its above the parameter
eulServingCellUsersAdmTti2 has increased which means that more
number of EUL 2ms TTI users can be setup since static ULCE
headroom increased.

NB EUL 2ms requests denied :
Number of EUL2ms requests denied has mainly increased in
3G_DAR_CHAABANE_LYCEE that having
eulServingCellUsersAdmTti2=16 so I recommend increasing to 32,
so more EUL 2ms users can be set-up.

UL HW Admission Rejection
Rejection due to lack of UL HW has diminished after Feature
activation.

Conclusion
› Channel Element Efficiency for EUL has showed its main
benefit which is reducing static UL CE cost for EUL which
will increase the headroom for all UL services.
› Reduce rejection due to lack of UL HW  Enhance
Accessibility.
