How to Build a
Plyo Box at Home
p
Introduction
Here is the first project in our DIY performance series.
Coach Gorton has put together the cut list, directions and
pictures to build this project yourself. As always, if you are
unfamiliar with building projects, try and find someone to
help you. Good luck!
Cut List and Equipment
Below is the cut list of supplies that you will need for this project. Sometimes you
have these items at home. Other wise you will need to go to hardware store. Check
with Home Depot or Lowes as most of these places will have free delivery or a small
delivery free. We also recommend using safety glasses if you don’t have them.

Instructions
Step 1:
Measure and cut all 4 sides (12” by 20”)
measure and cut each side individually to account for the
blade cut
Step 2:
Drill sides together, 3 screws for each connection
Screw at least an inch from the corners to avoid splitting
the wood
Step 3:
Measure and cut two supports from the 2x4 (18 1/2”) and
place them perpendicular to the longer side of the box.
Place them about 8” from each other and 5” from the
