THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA India has a parliamentary system as defined by its constitution, with power distributed between the Central Government and the State Government. The President of India is the ceremonial head of state of the country. India is a democratic country which has rules and regulations. India’s parliamentary system consists of president of India and two other houses known as – 1) Rajya Sabha 2) Lok Sabha THE CENTERAL GOVERNMENT The Lok Sabha The Lok Sabha members come from direct election (they are elected by the people) The prime minister are elected by the Lok Sabha elections It comes under the central government The Rajya Sabha The members of the Rajya Sabha come from indirect election ( they are elected by a few people) The president is elected by the rajya sabha elections It also comes under the central government 4 Pillars of Democracy The 4 pillars of democracy consists of – 1. LEGISLATIVE 2. EXUCUTIVE 3. JUDICIARY 4. MEDIA LEGISLATIVE It is a body that makes laws. All the in India are made by legislative. EXECUTIVE It is a body that makes the law work and until the law is not accepted by the executive (PM) the law is not implemented JUDICIARY It is a body that reviews the law and if it finds it a wrong or bad law it will stop the law or the law would not be implemented MEDIA It is a body that spreads the law.
