EdgebyRS Handbook 2023 Welcome Aboard Amigos! A community where YOUR SUCCESS is my PRIORITY! Becoming a trader, just like accomplishing many things…an MBA, a new Startup, a 10K Marathon; requires time and dedication. Just like you, in my early days I also went through periods of frustration, losses and near misses; yet, spurred on by my mentor, I persevered. Now here I am, with my own attempt to pay it forward and replicate a similar mentorship path for each one of you. From the outset, I must emphasize on the importance of keeping the communication links continually open for our efforts to succeed. My DM is always open, during trading hours for direct support and over the weekend for any further questions. I understand joining an active feed can get overwhelming and it can take some time to adjust to the new style and flow of information. And although I every effort is taken to ensure my posts are clear, concise, and actionable; if at any time there is any doubt or confusion, it is best advised to DM me immediately rather than assume or ignore. And always remember ‘Less is More’, ‘Quality over Quantity’. Now that’s enough about me, over to you now, let’s connect and start reaching new Altitudes together! “Focus on the process and execution, results will follow!” RS 1 EdgebyRS Handbook 2023 Disclaimer: This handbook is a guide developed based on my own personal experience. You can consider the zones as ‘Automatic’ where the only two conditions to be aware of are; Events (FOMC/Economic Data/Earnings) and specific zone updates shared by me. 2) Context + Live Trades – Ideal for Experienced Traders & Good for Learning Daily commentary on market structure using Volume/Market Profile along with application of Balance Ranges and Market Memory. Enabling you to learn my thought process along with how I view the developing structure and utilize the contextual information shared to initiate trades. 3) Weekly Diagnosis & Prognosis – Beginners/Experienced Traders The report is divided into three parts: Past Week, Market Structure/Outlook/Context, and an actionable weekly plan. Designed to provide you with a foundation for the week ahead, that will enable awareness and allow you to understand the shifts/short-medium term development. The plan is also built to support swing trades. 4) LIS (Pivot) – Basic skillset to acquire LIS/Pivots help gauge potential change in trends + invalidate/validate trade setups. To enable smooth execution, I have developed the LIS Framework - a simple 4 step framework that allows you to use the LIS/Pivot levels effectively. Review the LIS Framework PDF to learn more… Trade Zones Execution Framework: Index Minimum Target Stop Loss ES NQ DAX FTSE ASX 7 Points 21 Points 21 Points 10-12 Points 10-12 Points 7-8 Points 30-35 Points 30-35 Points 10-12 Points 10-12 Points Some of you may think that the above R:R is skewed, here’s a reminder, keep in mind it is “minimum profit”, whereby I assume you would first want to get consistent and profitable, then engage to aim for higher targets based on the plans/context shared. 4 EdgebyRS Handbook 2023 Trade Zones Notes: - ‘Stop Loss’ is always calculated from the “Back End” of the Zone, while ‘Profit’ is calculated from the “Front End” of the Zone. My approach is fair! Zone is marked successful upon delivering the default Minimum Target. Zone can be re-tired based on favorable context and/or LIS Confirmation. Untested Zones remain valid until tested or broken. Always watch for ‘Tempo/Speed’ into the Zone. Experienced traders can use the Zones as Support or Resistance once broken. In this case ‘broken’ is referred to as once ‘Stop Loss’ has been triggered. Strong Trend Days often result in a clean slice through zones and traders are always recommended to have situational awareness. E.g.: FOMC, Economic Data, Earnings, etc. Ticks/Decimals and Broker Spreads are not considered in determining a zone’s trigger or in tracking the performance of the zones. Zones can trigger during overnight/globex sessions; recommended not to have “pre-set” orders. As a thumb rules, trades should be always monitored. The above Framework is a “guide”, traders can adapt and adjust as per their account size, emotional capital, and experience. “Front Run”; A scenario when the zone “succeeds”, while price missed the zone trigger by 13 points. The zone remains valid, though warrants active management or tracking Price Action. CHART ANNOTATION https://www.tradingview.com/x/ExUuMgv1/ Example: Support Zone (4,107 – 4,111) Explore a long within the range and set stops at 4,099 (4,107 – 8) Minimum TP, i.e; 4,111 + 7/8 (4,118/19) 5 EdgebyRS Handbook 2023 Trade Management Insights: • • • • • Position Size: Define the size once and do not change with every trade unless account size has increased by 50%. Consistent size results in a “simple” Profit/Loss management. Profit Booking: An essential element, often ignored by traders. Always know the “minimum profit” level regardless of the setup. Remember skyscrapers are built one floor at a time! Trailing Position: A runner is your insurance for the next trade. Emotions: Defined trade management frameworks, eliminate emotional rollercoasters. A trader yearns for awareness and knowing your best and worst outcome is all what you need. Risk Management: Maximum Loss permitted per trade; 2-3% New Members: Once you have read this Handbook, send an email to hello@108altitude.com to setup your Introductory Zoom Session to get the ball rolling! 6
