SHORT TERM REGISTRATION PERMIT (STRP)
This form must be completed and submitted by the Club to the League1 Ontario (L1O) League Administrator.
The Club will be notified by the League Administrator once the permit is validated.
PLEASE NOTE:
a)
League1 Ontario does not allow players who are registered in the Ontario Soccer registration system (OSCAR) solely
via an STRP to be listed on the official game sheet for an official L1O Match. If a short-term registrant participates in
an official L1O match, they will be deemed ineligible, and the club shall face a penalty as per the L1O Discipline Code.
b) The STRP shall be used by L1O teams to register players with Ontario Soccer (for a maximum period of 30 days) for
the purpose of:

i.
participating in any type of Tryout/Trial activity with the L1O team, and/or
ii.
participating in Exhibition (Friendly) Matches that are not part of the official L1O schedule, and/or
iii.
participating in training sessions only (with no intention of participating in an official L1O match).
An STRP may be used to temporarily register a player (maximum 30 days) who was last registered outside of Canada
or last registered outside of Ontario and who thus requires an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) or an InterProvincial Transfer Certificate (IPTC) to register to play in official soccer matches in Ontario. However, while
temporarily registered via an STRP, such players may not participate in an official soccer match.

A “Short Term Registration Permit” is a temporary registration with Ontario Soccer which shall only be used by players who are
not already registered with Ontario Soccer for the 2022-2023 Indoor Season or the 2023 Outdoor Season.
