resources department in a medium-sized firm. In the case, you learn about your responsibilities and the

The firm has not kept up with it's functions as the firm has expanded over the last few years.
There is no policy on promotions and hiring has been done internally and externally. There is no
formal instruction provided for employee training. Managers are responsible for their
departments training. There seems to be little to no training done for employees and there is
no policy for reporting grievances. Needless to say this HR department needs to do a lot of
organizing for the firm in terns of human relations department.
