Reflections for the Week:
Similar to most of my first-time experiences, my first week of being an accounting intern at
Terre D’Or Realty Corporation was full of nervousness at the same time, eagerness as I take a
taste of the reality of the corporate world. I was anxious about making mistakes and not being
able to do the tasks efficiently. I was worried that I would not be able to apply what the
theoretical knowledge I’ve learned from the university. I fear that I would not be able to be an
effective team member of the company. Nevertheless, as is with any success stories, to continue
striving is the path towards success. Thus, despite and in spite all the inhibitions I felt, I still
eagerly took a step forward and made sure to give my best every day on this Student Training
Program journey.
On the topic related to my professional development, on the other hand, as an accounting intern,
I've embarked on a learning journey that has significantly enriched my understanding of the
profession as an accountant. Initially, during our briefing about the company and potential tasks,
I grasped the importance of adaptability and versatility in accounting. It allowed me to
comprehend the diverse range of responsibilities that accountants may encounter. Perhaps most
notably, with my exposure to computing the daily sales transaction report I have learned the
critical skill of meticulous data analysis. In summary, these experiences have broadened my
horizons as an accounting intern, imparting valuable skills and insights that will undoubtedly
shape my future career in accounting.
