Description: SynThera Biomedical Pvt. Ltd. (www.synthera.in) is an advanced
materials company and focuses on R&D, manufacturing and commercialization of
specialty glass products for high tech sectors. Its core specialization is in bioactive
glass as the key ingredient for use in diverse products related to healthcare and
wellbeing. The company has 4 patents granted and 2 patents filed internationally and
has developed multiple products for the first time in India or even globally. The
Company is now setting up its 1stcommercial manufacturing facility (first of its kind all
over India) in FY 2023-24 for production and supply of bioactive glass to customers in
various industries.
Job Summary: As a Production Engineer / Associate, you willhave the opportunity to
set up, operate and expand India’s 1stmanufacturing facility dedicated to high-purity
bioactive glass production. You will play a key role in the set up and functioning of plant,
machinery, systems and processes for the production facility and will liase with various
stakeholders (team members, industry experts, industry/academia partners, vendors,
service providers) while carrying out your overall activities.
Key Responsibilities: Some of the key responsibilities are listed below.








Carrying out production trials and testing of raw materials, intermediates and
finished goods
Maintenance of Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Control and information
management system
Preparation of documents in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable
standards
Preparation of production schedules, supervision of production to ensure quality
work
Diagnose problems in production and recommend corrective actions
Establishing safety procedures and protocols; identifying, documenting, and
reporting unsafe practices
Training of junior colleagues and develop appropriate training plans as required
May perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Profile:
UG or PG degree with relevant industrial (shop floor) experience of 0-4 years. Freshers
with relevant qualifications and prior internship/project experience are welcome to apply.
Qualification:
Engineering Streams: Mechanical, Chemical, Production, Instrumentation, Ceramic,
Mineral, Metallurgy, Mining, or equivalent
Equivalent Science Streams: Chemistry, Physics, Geology or equivalent·







Ability to read, understand and write (where applicable) standard operating
procedures, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Excellent organizational skills, strong ability to multi-task and willingness learn
new skills quickly
Passion for working in fast-paced startup environment; ability to work both
independently and within teams depending on requirement; strong commitment
to meeting deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Good MS Office Skills
Willingness for moderate travel in Mumbai-Pune region and other places in India
[up to 5-7 days per month] for Company’s various activities
Willingness to work in production shifts and/or relocate to other sites as per
Company’s requirements
Mumbai-based candidates are preferred. Candidates from other regions
