Meta-analyses questions
Do children appear to have separate understanding of bodily qualities (insides of bodies, genitalia),
extraneous qualities (preference for toys and clothes or use of toys and clothes), and internal feelings
with respect to whether a child is a girl or a boy?
Is this understanding more separable when it comes to sex than other biological attributes?
Is this understanding more separable when it comes to the child’s own self than other individuals?
Method of assessment (might be more suitable for a systematic review):
Do children’s answers about the “feelings” question differ when given a visual stereotyped
representation of a boy/girl than when given verbal or non-stereotyped information only?
