INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS
● Before meeting your faculty advisor, spend 30 mins reflecting on and filling in the questions below (some
useful resources in footer).
● During your meeting share your reflections (this form) with faculty
● Before leaving the meeting, ask faculty to sign the form
● After your meeting:
i) Fill out post-meeting section,
ii) Email the form to the SSE advising unit (undergradadvising.sbasse@lums.edu.pk), cc-ing your faculty
advisor, with the email subject ‘Self-reflection form submission’ – this form submission will count as
attendance of your mandatory advising meeting.

● At the start of the meeting, to make the conversation more
meaningful, it is encouraged that you log into ‘Advisor Centre’ in
Zambeel to access detailed ‘Academic Profiles’ for your
advisees (GPA, courses taken, grades, etc.)
● At the end of the meeting: Please sign this form and leave any
additional comments if needed

For both these shortcomings, I have tried compartmentalizing and prioritizing my tasks. I sometimes
tried to shorten my sleep to maximise my productivity, but that did not work out.

I want to work at the intersection of computing, mathematics, and engineering. I plan on increasing
the breadth of my undergraduate degree by taking courses from these fields, and working in a lab
where I can apply the skills and knowledge I learn in these courses.

I am extremely grateful for the time Dr. Naqvi spared from his busy schedule to address all my
concerns and give fruitful advise. I am looking forward to meeting him again after doing some
homework.
