Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment is to analyze the connection between acceleration /time,
velocity/time, position/time(“their horizontal and vertical components”).

Young and Freedman, University Physics, 13th Edition: Chapter 3, section 3.3
Procedure:
Download pre-recoded video
- Start bar and select Programs>VideoPoint>Physics Fundamentals>VideoPoint Physics
Fundamentals.
- Open VideoPoint Physics Fundamentals, then click on File>Open button on the top left.
Open the folder called “movies”. Click on that folder and in the box on the lower right,
select “Quick Time (.mov).” Then locate the file
- Pre-view the video first to see if it’s working.
- Fix the measurements in the video(meters)
- Export your data to Excel by going to File>Export>Excel. Choose a file name and save it
to the desktop.
- Calculate Vx and Vy , total initial velocity, initial angle of the projectile and the
uncertainty analysis
