Electrical Circuits Purpose: To enable students to understand concepts in vehicle electrical systems. 1. Document the year, make and model of a vehicle you have selected from a list that was provided by Mr. Ferrari. (1 mark) 2. Using a shop manual, locate and print the following wiring diagrams: (1 marks each) a. Brake light circuit b. Parking light circuit c. Turn signal circuit d. Horn circuit 3. Using a highlighter, highlight the wires in each individual circuit. (You must use four different schematics!) 2 marks each. 4. On a separate sheet of paper, create your own wiring diagram for: (3 marks each) a. Brake light circuit b. Parking light circuit c. Turn signal circuit d. Horn circuit 5. Once you have completed #4, submit wiring diagrams to Mr. Ferrari for inspections. 6. Using the electrical panel supplied by Mr. Ferrari, complete the wiring for each of your circuits using the alligator clips provided. (This can only be done once your wiring diagrams have been inspected!) 7. With Mr. Ferrari present, connect your circuit to a 12 volt power supply. 8. Test circuit. (4 marks each) Note: 3 marks will be deducted for each fuse that is blown due to faulty wiring! Additionally, student(s) will not proceed with this project in the event that the student exceeds 3 fuses due to potential danger of injury to student or teacher.
