ANT 100 A1 Anthropology is the study of humans throughout time. It seeks to answer who we are, where we came from, and why we are similar and different. This also includes the culture of different people, their traditions, and customs that guide their beliefs and behaviors. There are 5 fields of study in anthropology: Biological, Linguistic, Archaeology, Cultural, and Applied. Biological anthropology studies the physical human and evolution. Linguistics looks at the evolution of language. Archeology is the study of cultures through material remains. Cultural studies living cultures and everyday lives of people. Applied anthropology helps solve societal problems today in the other four fields.
