1. How sure are you of Antonio Pigafetta’s document on where the first mass was held? (Based on
our findings, Figafetta wrote this document back in 1525, and in his document it was stated that
they voyaged into the Philippines in the year 1519, 6 years before the book was written. Aside
from that, Antonio Pigafetta is a world renowned and known explorer. We can say that we are
absolutely sure of his document. In addition, he himself wrote the expedition making it a
credible primary source)
2. Aside from Pigafetta, are there other credible sources that could further support your claim?
(Based on the other sources that we found, they are labeled as secondary sources which can be
used as reference or guide in further determining on where the first mass was held, so in a
standing point, we’ve only got Pigafetta as our best and reliable source to prove that the first
mass in the Philippines was held in leyte, specifically in Limasawa.)
