Located in Rm. 108, in the Meeman Journalism Building in the Department of journalism and Strategic Media at the University of Memphis, Meeman 901 Strategist has fresh minds who are majoring in public relations, advertising, marketing, creative mass media and journalism are eager to produce campaigns and products for future clients. “Adding local nonprofits and startups as clients solidifies the agency’s goals of providing real-world experiences, meaningful connections and the ability to see student work making an immediate impact within the community,” said Kim Marks, faculty adviser of APR, Fellow PRSA. Meeman 901 has services such as managing your social media content and channels for the semester, developing a social media strategy or helping with reworking current social media presence, conducting competitive analysis, helping implement a paid search campaign, assessing social media presence and making recommendations to build your audience and community followers, creating a website or blog, developing and executing PR campaigns, and media relations. “Having the experience of working with clients on a variety of projects helps our students to diversity their skillsets and graduate ready to hit the ground running,” said Malone, APR, Fellow PRSA.
