My mother named me Carmel because she believes that having a holy name from a holy place will make me holy, which I hope so. Next is the name Ann. It came from another biblical name St. Anne, the mother of Mary. My mother named me Ann because she admires her very much. Her admiration started when she knew how St. Anne devoted Mary's life in the service of God, which she wants to do in her children. Now, we all know how religious my mother was.
