The Filipino culture is a summation of indigenous forces and foreign influence that had come to bear upon the people in varying degrees during the last centuries. These foreign influences that contributed in the shaping of a Filipino culture are as follows: Malays, Chinese, Indian Influence, Hindu Influence, Spanish Heritage, and Americans. The Filipino culture’s existence and development is viewed and interpreted in many ways. Some of them are: The traditional concept, The nationalistic view, Cultural dualism. Culture is central to the way we view, experience and engage with all aspects of our lives and the world around us. It is externally affected between and among societies, history and environment which may also produce or inhibit social shifts and changes in cultural practices. APPLICATION Compare and contrast the two families using the Venn Diagram in terms of: 1. The way the children are brought up 2. Their eating habits 3.
