1. Do you think Viktor's complaint that Lamar "stole her artwork" is justified? Why
or why not?
Viktor has every right, in my opinion, to file a formal complaint against Lamar for
exploiting his artwork in his song video without his consent or knowledge. They didn't
care about his fame, and even though they utilized it within 19 seconds, they didn't
show any respect for the artist who created that piece of art. It seems to me that
Lamar's side has flagrantly broken the Copyright Infringement Act, which plainly
intended to safeguard each original artist's artworks from being used without their
knowledge or consent. It is also important to note that Viktor's protest should be
legitimate since he is an artist, and that Lamar should be made aware of it as well
because he is also an artist.
2. According to the copyright attorney, Nancy Wolff, "style is not protected under
copyright." Why do you think that is?
Perhaps this is due to the large number of aspects that must be considered when
designing a style, such as the concept and phrases that must be distinguished and
prohibited from being included because they violate copyright laws. In addition,
according to the material that I have read, there is, "Copyright law protects finished
works of art. It does not protect things like facts, ideas, procedures, or an artist's style,
no matter how distinct."
