1. a) The Pancasila was created based on the needs of the people of Indonesia, and both
Pancasila and religion hold ideals that can influence us subconsciously therefore I think
that Pancasila and religion play an important role in strengthening the national spirit.
b) In my opinion, Pancasila can answer the challenges of the future as it is created
based on the needs of the people of Indonesia.
c) To ensure that Pancasila as the nation’s way of life remains a guide for the
nation-state in the future, I as a young generation should continue to implement the
ideals of Pancasila in my daily life and continue to educate and influence other people
and the younger generation about Pancasila and its importance.
2. a) I think that this is already a sufficient and well-structured law to an extent as I think
people have the ability to change themselves and become a better version of
themselves therefore it is not unfair that they are entitled to conditional freedom. But in
my opinion, this can only be applied to minor crimes such as stealing, or crimes that do
not affect another individual or family permanently such as murder. I think that people
who commit major crimes such as corruption or murder should not be entitiled to
conditional freedom as it would be unfair to those people that are affected by it and I
think that it is only their (the people who are affected) opinion that is valid for this matter.
Hence, i only think that this law is only sufficient to an extent as many corruptors in
Indonesia have not yet received the punishment they deserve.
b) I think that the level of public trust in Indonesia towards law enforcement of the
country is not good and can be improved tremendously. This is due to many individuals
in law enforcement showing unfair behavior toward the citizens.
3. a) An economic recession affects almost everyone in the country. This means that
people from the lower class up to the higher class get affected by it. To maintain unity,
one person should sympathize and understand what another person is going through, no
matter their background or where they are from. This can also be strengthened by
helping each other during their hardships instead of taking advantage of the situation. To
elaborate on my point, an example of taking advantage of the problem is when inflation
goes up, the prices of things will also increase therefore the people of the lower class will
only suffer more, whereas the higher class people (the ones who own the businesses
and shops) will prosper from this situation. Instead of increasing the prices, the people
from the higher class should understand and help the people of the lower class, this can
maintain the unity between people.
b) As a university student and also a citizen of the nation’s successor, to face the
economic recession I would implement the points made in the previous answer and that
is to help other people when I can. I would also try to spread the mindset that we as
citizens of the country are in this battle not against each other, but together against
economic recession. The excessive consumption of international or imported goods can

also be a downfall for the country’s economic state, therefore as a university student, I
would try to educate other people on the benefits of consuming local goods. One of
these benefits is the support of local businesses which can help the people of the
country more.
4. I think that cultural wealth and diversities can become a basis for civilized democracy
and can lead to goodness and nobility as different cultures can bring in different
principles of kindness which helps strengthen and improve the unity and diversity of an
individual in a communtiy. An example of this is the united nations where many different
cultures gather yet there is only a civilized discussion and democracy.
