GUIDELINES, MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND
DECORATIONS CONTEST
GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
1. The contest is open for the 17 Purok of Barangay Canlanipa.
2. Participants shall decorate their respective Purok to promote the spirit of Christmas.
3. The decor must be made of recyclable or reusable materials. Non-recyclable
materials may be used, but the main emphasis of the contest is to see what can be
created with recyclable materials.
4. Christmas lights and other electrical devices may be added to enhance and improve
the visual appeal and effect of the decorations.
5. Concept and decors must be original and newly created. Any entry that does not
adhere to any of the contest mechanics may be disqualified by the organizers.
6. There will be two parts of judging: day judging and night judging.
7. The decision of the judges shall be final and irrevocable.

CONTEST
GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
1. The competition is open for the 17 Purok of Barangay Canlanipa.
2. Parol must be at least 1.5 meters in height and not less than 1 meter in width. Entries
that will not meet the requirements will automatically be disqualifiied.
3. The Parol can be of any shape and design for as long as it represents the essence of
the Christmas spirit.
4. The Parol should be made of recyclable materials and must be an original design.
5. Twinkling bulbs can be added for illumination at night, though would not be part of the
criteria for judging.
6. The judging area will be the facade or within the compound of barangay hall.
8. There will be two parts of judging: day judging and night judging.
9. The decision of the judges shall be final and irrevocable.
