Topic Seven
Where are many people one could classify as teachers: the ones at school, parents
and other mentors. Yet what unites them all are these 2 crucial aspects, which
separate great teachers from mediocre ones.
First of all, the best teachers are the ones that can truly make you be engaged in
the topic of learning and understand why it matters. I will bring the example of
how important it is. My mother always told me that I have to talk to seniors in my
family. I did not understand why should I talk to them. They seemed weird,
brainwashed by the government, they treated me like a child despite the fact that
I often asked them to treat me as an adult because I always thought about myself
as one. My mother did not care and spanked me on occasion. However,
everything has changed once my father attempted to explain that they simply
happy to see their grandson and speaking to them once in a while is not such a
horrific idea. That was a key moment that has altered the situation.
Secondly, one can not just preach to people and expect that they will listen if they
are nothing themselves. My father is a wealthy man and taught me a lot about
making money. I put that skill to good use and I would never uncover it if my
father was poor because I simply would not listen to him.
