We all have a basic instinct to differentiate if something is harmful or not, but, those involved in the scene and the external factors could influence in our decisions and is there where we evaluate from the different kind of academic programs that exist in our country, what bases, values and principles people will have acquired for more quality in aspects of discipline and integrity that guaranties the professional suitability. In the same way that we need to be part of a circle like society, we need to live in harmony too, where through certain codes of ethic we can acquire and possess values such as responsibility, respect, fairness and honesty, which should strive to stay optimal for the decision making. Taking charge of the decisions made in the workplace and its consequences that may result, is in our ability to transmit correctly and timely information to our stakeholders, the objective is to mitigate any problem that arises as a result of our mistakes or omissions to third parties. According to the codes that govern us, we must be sure that our decisions must be increasingly coherent, partial and objective, not only for those who affect these, but offering our quality as a professional to the society, keeping a clean image and healthy in front of others. Within the workplace of any professional, the set of rules and principles are even more latent not only because it´s a duty to put into practice its ethical code, it´s also the practice that it carries with it rules that must be respected in order to act correctly. According to (PMI, Código de Ética, 2006) as professionals we commit ourselves to act in a correct and honorable way, setting a high level of demand leads us to aspire and strengthen all aspects of our lives: work, home and service of our profession. In any organization is important to generate trust and excellence that encourages mutual cooperation, moral integrity and transparency in all our co-workers, which when executed as a whole, allows us as leaders to listen, inform, direct and behave in a professional way, even when the environment in which we live together is not accepted in the same way. In different opportunities as professionals and natural persons we find ourselves in dangerous and difficult situations, since external persons or members of the work group can enter to distort the main interest of the project, task or activity in which we are participating. That´s when is our time to analyze the situation in which we find ourselves to act with sincerity. Involving ourselves in the environment and taking the first step, to understand that accepting inadequate measures guarantees a negative result in short, medium or long term, not only for the company, also for the work team. For the engineering code of ethics (Código de Ética, 2004), it´s considered extremely a serious fault to commit an offense that threatens its clients, colleagues or authorities of the Republic, as long as the punishable conduct includes the exercise of engineering or one of its auxiliary professions; consequently, it´s important to understand that making decisions hastily can lead to illegal or unjustified participation in the activity carried out. In the engineering’s country, including industrial engineering, which is one of the principal bases to support each of the economic activities, the improvement of the quality of life and welfare of human being, all of this tends to be promoted by the good practice of this profession, as long as bad practices that can lead to bad decisions or the influence of external agents who are involved in the activity are avoided. Is important that each of the people involved in the process, accredit a high level of ethical and moral training, which are mainly acquired from home, university, office and all life scenarios, this profession is among one of the most important in the country, which having a high demand tends to lose or be affected its ethical and moral quality, and that’s where the institutions that endorse the profession should come to regulate and reinforce of the rules and principles that govern them. According to (EL TIEMPO, 2018) “Most of the problems that has stopped the development in Colombia has been the excessive dominance of oil, but if the country decide to change for industrialization, the strengthening of infrastructure, in other words, the greater use of knowledge, then the profession of engineers will have a growing projection ", in this way and according to the analysis of the sector against the engineering in our country, it’s important to accelerate the growth of the Colombian economy where the integrity and Ethical training of each and every one of the interested parties is crucial to create harmony between the knowledge and the ethical values that are acquired over the years. In my opinion, accomplish with each of the principles, duties and norms that are promoted to be a high quality professional is necessary to take strategic, reliable and viable steps in each of the situations that the medium presents to us. That´s why is vital to articulate perfectly each of the activities in which all the actors of a project perform. The ethical training is not only of the engineers, also of each one of the professionals in Colombia because has a very important part into the good administration of resources and projects, which leads to achieving quality in each one of the decisions and / or investigations that allow to advance in each of the challenges that the sector involves us, contributing new methods to improve each one of the business processes.
