SBFP - height and weight taking Selected students of Adams National High School January 30, 2023 Height and weight measurements are used to calcuate body mass index or BMI, a healthy versus unhealthy weight. Thus, height and weight taking activity helps the SBFP coordinator determine the students who need health assistance. SBFP Deworming All Students of Adams National High School January 30, 2023 Regular deworming contributes to good health and nutrition for children of school age, which in turn leads to increased enrolment and attendance, reduced class repetition, and improved performance. SBFP - fruit day to all learners Students of Adams National High School February 1, 2023 This activity awakened awareness among learners about the importance of the consumption of fruits on regular diets. Moreover, this promotes healthy eating habits in students. January 30 February 3, 2023 In addition to adding color to a classroom, NDEP boards can be used to define classrooom goals and policies about NDEP and can be interactive teaching tool. These NDEP boards are updated & improved periodically to help learners understand and learn more the NDEP. Thus, this activity will educate learners on the legal measures and risks brought by drugs, smoking and drinking alcohol. February 3, 2023 This symposium aims to lead students to explores the health communication prevention strategy to drug and smoking. Symposium about drug and smoking helps children and young people understand that all drugs, legal or illegal, have the potential to cause harm, and that the drug experince is because of many factors including the person, the drug and the environment. January 30 February 3, 2023 Having a good oral and hand hygiene habits are important to ones' overall health and well being. It help boost the immune system and keep bacteria from getting into the mouth and gums. Thus, this activity will encouraged all students to wash properly their hands properly before and after eating and brush their teeth after eating food. It can also enhance the knowledge of the youth about the risk and consequences they may face if this case might happen to them. Thus, this activity will educate learners regarding the effects of teenage pregnancy. February 3, 2023 The mental health of students can affect their education, social life, and emotional well-being. Students struggling with mental health may experience more significant challenges throughout school and adulthood, while those not struggling may have a greater zest for their education, social experiences and more. Thus, this activity will lead to increased awareness that mental health is essential and can lead to a happy life. SMH Gardening Students of Adams National High School January 31, 2023 It may seem odd to find school aged children motivated to take up gardening. That's why this gardening activity will encourage all students to participate. In addition, this gardening activity will provide students with the tools they need to manange their emotions and improve their learning potential. February 1, 2023 Clean-up drive activities boost morale. Keeping our streets, trails, parks and our surroundings clean and free of trash gives us back the power to make positive changes. SUGGESTIONS TO STRENGTHEN OK SA DEPED PROGRAM (Include support needed from Central, Region, and Division Office that can increase the impact of OK sa DepEd Program in the schools) Each day of the One Health Week showcase a set of activities that focus on aspecific OK sa DepEd flagship program. The scheduled activities provide key updates and launch key initiatives under each OK sa DepEd flagship program, especially given current situation of the basic education sector. Scheduled activities for One health Week should be coordinated with ROs and SDOs thus this will intend to promote the region/division respective health and nutrition initiatives fo the school and the learners in their respective jurisdiction, and how such initiatives ensure the health, safety and well-being of the learners as well as teachers and stakeholders.
