1. Observe the following pictures relating to the MDGs.
2. Identify the meaning of the pictures and write a word to describe each.
3. Pass the chalk to a classmate and let him or her identify another word
about one of the given pictures.
4. Continue passing the chalk after each has already written a word or
phrase about the given pictures.

Millennium Development
Goals (MDGs)
In 2000, the World Health Organization (WHO)
and global communities from the United
Nations (UN) summit created a historic
commitment to eliminate extreme poverty and
improve the health and wellness of people in
impoverished countries. This commitment is
known as the Millennium Development Goals
(MDGs).
The long-term strategy was intended to be
finished after 15 years from its inception.

● provide universal
access to
reproductive health
programs

● prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS
● provide universal access to the
treatment of HIV/AIDS
● decrease the incidents of malaria
