a) Data Presentation – Salford Quays Environmental Radial Graphs

b) Evaluate the sustainability of the regeneration of Salford Quays Write an evaluation in your exercise book.

3. CHALLENGE TASK
Some people believe that regeneration is
not usually successful, because local people
are displaced/ outpriced. How would you
ensure that in future regeneration projects,
that this does not happen? Answer this
question in your exercise books in the
space provided.

You have been awarded Grade 5 because your evaluation includes some advantages and
disadvantages that are relevant to the argument and you sometimes develop your points with linked
sentences. In order to get Grade 6 you needed to develop your explanations further.
You have been awarded Grade 6 because your advantages and disadvantages are all well
explained with linked sentences showing good understanding of the issues. The conclusion reflects the
arguments presented and offers some justification for the decision. Some geographical vocabulary is used.
In order to get Grade 7 you needed to develop your explanations by referring to facts and figures from the
sources.

In addition to grade 6 you use data from the
sources to support your arguments and you come to a reasonable conclusion. Well done. In order to get a
higher grade you need to show greater understanding of the views of different interest groups in the
regeneration.
