Dimensions of Personality 1 Physical — This dimension refers to the physical appearance of an individual or the way an individual’s personality is assumed by the way they look physically. Some of the examples for this area are one’s mode of dressing, manner of walking, posture, body build, health, complexion, and facial expression. 2 Emotional — This dimension refers to how an individual feels in every situation which is akin to their personality. It is also closely related to emotional stability-which is the ability to control emotions under stressful circumstances. It means that one must have proper control over various emotions such as fear, anger, disgust, distress, amusement, or happiness. 3 Social — This dimension refers to how well an individual communicates with other people and how well he observes the rules of etiquette that govern society. This area includes having good manners, doing the right thing at the right time, acting appropriately, to get along well with others in the social dimension of personality. 4 Mental/Intellectual — This dimension refers to an individual’s intellectual capacity—how a person talks, the range of ideas he can express, the topics he can talk about, values, and mental alertness that proves evidence of one’s mental capacity. Intellectuality capacity also varies in each individual and their personalities, like how it depends on their innate intelligence and the kind of education they learn that influences their personality 5 Moral — This dimension of personality refers to an individual’s awareness of the difference between what is wrong and right. It involves personality traits that guide an individual into making decisions and judgments, based on their understanding of their experiences. 6 Spiritual — This dimension of personality refers to an individual’s consciousness of the higher values in life. The spiritual area of our personality is deeply bound with all dimensions of personality, it helps an individual to realize that peace and happiness are one of their goals.
