PREFACE This soft bounded plates is a compilation of laboratory experiments and exercise that to be presented to the faculty of Civil Engineering. In partial fulfillment of the requirements in Physics for engineers (SCI 124) and to be submitted by Heart Vincent Tabañag to Engr. Clyde Shene F. Barri for the grade requirements and to have an academic performance for the subject. This will also provide an insights of the overall data for our experiments throughout the entire exercise of the subject. As a engineering student we tend to learned that Physics forms the bedrock of engineering, serving as the underlying framework that governs the behavior of the physical world. By understanding the fundamental principles of physics, engineers gain the necessary tools to analyze and solve complex problems, design innovative technologies, and contribute to advancements in various fields. Our aim is to strike a balance between theory and practice, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the underlying physical concepts while emphasizing their engineering applications. We will guide you through the principles of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, and modern physics, among other topics, with an engineering perspective in mind. In civil engineering, subjects like mechanics, construction material, concrete, and masonry structures are also related to chemistry. Knowledge of the environment, the material used in construction, and their relation and interaction with each other. Metals such as Steel is building material. It is hard to believe that Physics is the most broad and has a hand in almost every type of engineering, but it is true. Industries mostly depend upon engineers because Engineers are there to control the industrial process and maintenance.
