Problem with creating so many email addresses Recognizing the utility of creating email addresses and assigning them to events, projects, and groups, I do find email to be less than helpful for keeping tabs on communications sent and received. The City does hold and maintain a large number of ancillary email addresses, the number of which outweigh the personnel we have behind them. Many of them have been abandoned by those that requested them. Persons that have inherited them aren’t sure of their purpose. I’m curious if the software Council purchased for Agendas and Meetings provides for a collaborative communication tool. One that may cater to Councils and Committees, and provide for a single point of contact while allowing for collaboration in tracking those communications. From my point of view I am seeing an increased need for collaborative software across our government departments.
