COHERENCE
Coherence gives a text unity and purpose and it can be achieved
by using
sequence linkers (first, second, third, next, then, following,
now, at this point, after, after this, etc.)
When writing a text, you should also look for coherence within
your paragraphs. The following techniques may help you to do it:
use of synonyms and antonyms
use of pronouns (I, you, his, their)
use of adequate verb tenses and a clear time sequence
use of linkers (because, but, therefore)
paraphrasing (in other words, in sum)
