EVOLUTION OF THE PHILIPPINE TAXATION, TAXATION IN SPANISH PHILLIPINES TAXATION
UNDER THE AMERICAN'S, TAXATION DIRING THE COMMONWEALTH PERIOD AND THE FISCAL
POLICY FROM 1940 TO PRESENT
Here are my understanding about the topic that we've been tackled,It all started from the
Ancient Filipinos, where they pay their taxes to their Datu or the Chiefs for the protection they
gave to them, the tax was termed buwis. Everyone is required to pay their taxes. Punishment
for not paying taxes was also implemented on this period. For employees, the Philippines
follows the Paye system, which is carried out by the local employer through the mechanism.
Under this system, it is the responsibility of the employer to withhold and remit taxes on the
compensation of its employees on a monthly basis.Early Filipinos practiced a system of taxation
before the Spaniards took over. The subjects paying tax to the chieftain in return of protection
they received from the latter, the Philippine government relies on tax revenue to fund its
operations and finance its development projects. Being the lifeblood of the government, tax
revenue is a critical part of the country's economic and fiscal policy.Taxes help the government
fund their projects for economic development. It's also the lifeblood of outstanding
government employees, like teachers. Contributing your share of the pie greatly helps in the
development of the Philippines as a whole.Taxation is the imposition of compulsory levies on
individuals or entities by governments in almost every country of the world. Taxation is used
primarily to raise revenue for government expenditures, though it can serve other purposes as
well. This power is exercised to raise revenues to defray the necessary expenses of the
government. It is sometimes regarded as the strongest among the three inherent powers of the
government, as taxes serve as its lifeblood. It is supreme. In the valid exercise of this power, it
can actually destroy. In my own opinion, the taxation is the practice of collecting taxes (money)
from citizens based on their earnings and property. The money raised from taxation supports
the government and allows it to fund police and courts, have a military, build and maintain
roads, along with many other services.

DOING HISTORICAL RESEARCH ONLINE
As I have learned,Historical research or historiography, "attempts to systematically recapture
the complex nuances, the people, meanings, events, and even ideas of the past that have
influenced and shaped the present.Historical research is used to compare records of historical
events and the activities surrounding them. This type of research also helps to organize
historical events sequentially, and to preserve historical data so it doesn't get lost. There are
three main disadvantages to this process: contextualisation, potential edits and poor
reproduction, and the sensual nature of the archive. The drawback of contextualisation is the
most threatening to valid historical research and thus this paper will focus heavily on this
section. It covers both primary sources such as diaries, letters, newspaper articles, photographs,
government documents and first-hand accounts and secondary materials (such as books and
articles written by historians and devoted to the analysis and interpretation of historical events
and evidence.n addition to being a scholarly investigation, research is a social activity intended
to create new knowledge. Historical research is your informed response to the questions that
you ask while examining the record of human experience. These questions may concern such
elements as looking at an event or topic, examining events that lead to the event in question,
social influences, key players, and other contextual information.
