2.Background information
-A search coil is a device for studying a varying magnetic field. When it is placed in an alternating magnetic field perpendicular to it, an alternating e.m.f. will be induced across its ends.
-If a search coil is put in a magnetic field produced by passing a sinusoidal current through a long straight wire or a solenoid, the maximum induced e.m.f. across the search coil is directly proportional to the maximum magnetic field.
相信大家在国内也写了不少作文了，但是写Essay的时候怎么还是无从下手呢？可能大家首先会觉得是语言的原因，其实更多的时候，老师对于内容的考察远重于对语言的考察。Essay得高分的重点在于你写的是否言之有理，自圆其说、是否体现出了你的critical thinking，是否反应出了你对于这个问题自己的研究与看法。其实做到这些都是有诀窍的，即便我们语言水平不是很高，但是得高分还是有可能的。
我刚开始留学的时候，英语水平也不是特别高，但是我曾经有很长一段时间都在看一篇好的essay有什么共同的特点，后来总结出了自己的一套方法，essay成绩就一直保持在前10%的水平。下面我就跟大家分享下在写essay的时候具体该怎么做吧！
首先我们应该看下一般而言，essay的结构是怎样的，每一部分应该写什么。一般的essay结构可以分为三个部分如下图所示：
Introduction Introduction部分主要的内容是整个essay topic的背景、主要几个关键词的解释以及你的一个主要观点。同时introduction部分也会简要介绍下你整个文章的结构。
在写introduction部分的时候，更多的是遵循倒金字塔原则，就是从比较general的范围开始一步步递推到你要写的topic以及你的论点。首先introduction部分应该用比较general的陈述性句子吸引大家关注，引出整个essay的topic，之后再过渡到自己的thesis上。
举个例子：
Main body Main body部分主要就是文章主要观点介绍与讨论的部分，在main body部分，有以下需要注意的几个问题：
Break the main point into pieces，main body部分如果你有几个主要的论点的话，记得要把他们分成不同的段落去讨论。每个段落要集中讨论一个point。
State every issue relate to the main point and Make sure all the points are covered 要做到你的论点全部都提到，并且main point的讨论要尽量做到critical
The main argument is clearly identified and personal opinion and explanations are evidently presented 在介绍观点的时候要观点清晰，并且evidence必须要提供。
