Article Review
You must pick an empirical, peer-reviewed article based on a topic we’ve discussed in the course thus
far. Reviews should be 4-5 pages in length, 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, 1-inch
margins, APA format. Include your name in the header.
Hopefully you can select one that relates to a topic you are interested in. The article review is where you
will go into more detail about the paper (listed below). These are optional if you do 10 hours of SONA.
Article Review (50 points each, up to 2)

All article reviews are due by the last day of class December 2nd at 11:59pm!

Choose a scientific article related to a topic we have covered in this course and write a review
following the criteria below. (This should be basic stuff from research methods, but please feel
free to reach out and ask if you have any questions about any of this information)
Make sure you include the following:
1. Title and authors of the article
2. Introduction: Briefly discuss the background information, the gap in the past literature that lead
to the article’s research question, their research question, and their hypotheses.
3. Method: Mention the participant pool and the aspects of the task.
4. Results: Include statistical results that they discussed in the article.
5. Discussion: Discuss what the results mean and why they are important to the scientific
community and/or the general public.
6. Limitations/Future Directions: Discuss limitations of the current study.
7. Please double check your work with the grading rubric provided below
