In recent years, there has been a growing trend among
students to choose local universities and live with parents. On
the positive side is financial benefits. Living with parents
reduces expenses, which helps a lot at university. Textbooks,
and other academic costs are already high, making the option
to cut living expenses a really good option. Staying in
hometown can be important because of emotional support
from our family and friends. This support system can be
invaluable during the challenging periods of academic stress.
Additionally, students can keep familial ties which may have
impact to personal development. However, this option is not
without negative sites. Living with parents can be holding
young person from development of independence and crucial
life skills. Living independently exposes students to
experiences of living by them own, helping them build
independence. In conclusion, choosing to study locally and
live with parents can be a good decision with both advantages
and disadvantages. While it provides financial relief and
emotional support, it may stop development of
independence and limit the full spectrum of college
experiences. Students must carefully choose which option is
the best for them and how it would develop on their lives and
near future.
