Quimora, GAD Coordinator RATIONALE Through DepEd Order (DO) No. 911 s. 2023, In line with the annual 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women(VAW), celebrated from November 25 to December 12, 2023, as mandated by Procalmation 1172, s. 2006 as a support mechanism to achieve the Philippine government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and girls, this Office through the Division GAD Focal Point System(GFPS) invites all schools and division sections to join the said 18-day campaign. As such, the Binagbag Integrated High School organize a campaign: to solicit shared insights on their level of awareness and knowledge on VAW. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The 18-Day Campaign to End VAW is a support mechanism to achieve the Philippine government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and girls by upholding its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence as protected in the 1987 Constitution. The BIHS Personnel through the initiative of the Project coordinators will conduct the following activities stipulated in Division Memorandum No. 911, s. 2023. 18-Day Campaign to End VAW Activities: a. 18-Day Campaign Online Advocacy Address: Brgy. Feature the 18-day Campaign to End VAW activities DepEd TayoBinagbag Integrated HS Facebook Page and use of Facebook Profile VAWC Frame b. Orange Your Shirt every Friday of the week from November 25 to December 12, 2023, to signify one’s commitment to end VAW c. Raise Your Orange Flag. To support VAW place orange flags on any conspicuous areas to signify the institution’s solidarity to this year’s campaign theme d. Film Screening depicting Filipino Values as well as Gender Sensitive Topics. (November 28, 2023 @ 1:00pm) OBJECTIVE The campaign aims: 1. To encourage the GADvocates to participate in online campaigns and use the hashtag #VAWfreePH and #VowToEndVAW to signify their support for the advocacy. 2. Aid to disseminating information about the status of VAW in the Philippines 3. To solicit shared insights on their level of awareness and knowledge on VAW. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS 500.00php for all the activity materials RECOMMENDATION This year’s campaign theme “United for a Vaw-Free Philippines” which reiterates everyone’s commitment and contributions to eliminate VAW and calls on the general public to make a personal commitment to end violence against women and children.
